The Houghall Spring Show & Open Day - Sunday 17th May 2015, 10am - 4pm

East Durham College’s Houghall Campus is holding it's annual Spring Show and College Open Day & Apprenticeship Event so you can learn more about the specialist courses on offer and also have a GREAT FAMILY DAY OUT.

The day give's visitors an ideal opportunity to find out more about Houghall and the wide range of full and part time courses and training on offer, such as; Agriculture - Animal Care - Arboriculture & Forestry - Environmental Conservation - Equestrian Studies - Floristry - Horticulture & Landscaping - Veterinary Nursing. You can also find out more about the range of apprenticeships we have on offer too.

It's also a GREAT DAY OUT FOR ALL THE FAMILIY - Entry is only £5 per car and there are loads of fascinating demonstrations and lots of free activities* throughout the day, including:

- Classic Car Show
- Equine displays
- Dog agility, grooming demos
- Falconry and bird of prey display
- Floristry demonstrations
- Sheep shearing demos
- Cattle weighing demos
- Small and exotic animals on display
- Meet our farm yard animals
- Have a go on our free zip line, mobile climbing wall and trampolines
- Have a go at archery
- Punch & Judy shows
- Plant sale and horticultural demonstrations
- Free face painting and air brush tattoos
- Meet the real life Meerkats; Timon, Nala & Bandit, as well as Miss Pickles the Pygmy Hedgehog (only available 11am till 12pm).
- Refreshments & Ice Cream

The Houghall Campus is situated on the A177, just south of Durham, near Shincliffe.
