Overview of the course: 

One exam each year, 40% coursework 60% year one. 50% value for both in year two.

Entry requirements: 

Five 9-4 GCSE grades (6 or above in English Lit and/or English Lang).

Topics: 

Historical Studies, Anatomy and Physiology, Comparative Studies, Skill acquisition and contemporary issues.

How is the course assessed?: 

Coursework based on two sports in As and one Sport in A2, higher level athletes gain greater marks. Sporting evaluations and assessments are recorded. Exam is AS and A2.

Further study options after this course: 

Various aspects of the sports industry, Universities (with 50% of 2013 A2 cohort going to the University of Durham).
