National Certificate in Animal Care
A broad based course covering a wide range of animals from small furries to large farm animals for students wishing to gain the skills required to work in the animal industry.


Entry Requirements
Applicants must be over 16 years of age, possess GCSE up to D grade and possess enthusiasm for caring for animals.

  • Horse Husbandry


How is the course taught?
Practical lessons on skills of working with animals, lectures to provide underlying knowledge and tutorials and seminars to promote discussion.

How is the course assessed?
Practical skills, assessments, projects, final externally assessed test and end of module tests.

Length Of Course
One Year.  Min 15 hours per week

Progression / Career opportunities
Successful completion could lead to entry on the National Diploma or Advance National Certificate Courses to to work in animal care related industries.
