This is a course for learners who have a learning difficulty or disability. It provides an introduction to land based industries especially working with plants.
Entry Requirements No entry requirements although the ability to read and write is prefered
What areas are covered by the course? Various units relating to the industry - sowing seeds, pricking out, planting out.
How is the course taught? A mixture of practical hands on work is combined with the development of life skills and basic skills.Work is carried out on the estate and in the gardens..
How is the course assessed? learners build up a portfolio of knowledge evidence and practical skills are assessd by the lecturer.
