This is a course for learners who have a learning difficulty or disability. It provides an introduction to the construction and related industries. The emphasis is on the development of practical skills alongside life skills and basic skills.
Entry Requirements No entry requirements although the ability to read and write is prefered
What areas are covered by the course? Various units relating to the industry - painting , woodwork, brickwork, IT
How is the course taught? Teaching is in small groups and combined theory and practical. Lots of hands on work in the appropriate workshops.and the College estate.
How is the course assessed? learners build up a portfolio of knowledge evidence and practical skills are assessd by the lecturer.
