This is a course for learners who have a learning difficulty or disability. It provides an introduction to land based industries especially working with animals.
Entry Requirements No entry requirements although the ability to read and write is prefered
What areas are covered by the course? Various units relating to the industry - moving,feeding, cleaning, exercising, grooming.animals
How is the course taught? A mixture of practical hands on work is combined with the development of life skills and basic skills.Work is carried out on the farm and in the animal care unit.
How is the course assessed? learners build up a portfolio of knowledge evidence and practical skills are assessd by the lecturer.
