The aim of this course is to develop vocational and supported employment skills to enable a pathway for progression for level 1 learners studying Landbased subjects as part of a Foundation Learning Tier Pilot.
Entry Requirements Level one or equivalent with some subject experience
What areas are covered by the course? Plant Cultivation, Amenity Horticulture, Management of the Natural Environment, Care of Animals, Livestock Husbandry and floristry.
How is the course taught? Teaching is in small groups. Lots of hands on work in appropriate workshops on Houghall estate.
How is the course assessed? learners build a Portfolio of evidence and are assessed on their skills
