This is the only certificated course of its type in the country. Designed to develop a package of greenwoodworking skills, with many students going on to establish their own businesses.Facilities include large Arboretums and extensive woodland cover, along with experienced and well qualified staff.

How is the course taught? A variety of teaching strategies are employed including lectures, practicals and field work.
How is the course assessed? Woodcrafts is assessed by practical observation, the production of items ( ie Wooden bowls ) and by the development of a Portfolio of Evidence.
Length Of Course Two days per week from January through to May
Progression / Career opportunities Successful candidates can progress on to an arboricultural course or can set up their own business.
