The course will provide you with the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 BTEC course in Buinsess or onto our Peter Jones Enterprise Academy to study a Level 3 qualification in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. Opportunities may also be available for progression onto a relevant apprenticeship programme. Guest speakers, work placements and trips relating to the subjects covered are also related to the course.

Overview of the course: 

The course is assessed using a mix of written assignments and exams. All units are graded pass, merit and distinctions. Projects and assignments are based on realistic situations and activities. Students will work as a group and on individual projects.

Entry requirements: 

The course is open to students ages 16 and over.

An example of some of the topics covered are shown below:
- Business Communication
- Marketing & Branding
-Business Finance

As well as planning and running a small enterpirse. Some of the units covered will be based around the planning ad everyday running of the enterprise project.

How is the course assessed?: 

You will be assessed throughout course work and assignments and also examinations.

Further study options after this course: 

This level 2 qualification will give you opportunities to progress onto employment or more advanced courses such as the BTEC Level 3 Business course or onto our Peter Jones Enterprise Academy to study a BTEC Level 3 in Enterprise & Entrepreneurship or an apprenticeship.

Fees: 

If you have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and are under the age of 19 on the 31st August, you will not usually need to pay any course fees.

If you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance in the Work Related Activity Group or other work related benefit and you are undertaking this qualification to find work, your fees may be paid by the Government.

If you do need to pay fees they are:
