C&G Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery (Part Time)
Completion of this course could lead to one of the following destinations - Commis Chef/Chef de Partie/ Catering Assistant.
Practical activities include preparing, cooking and serving of complex dishes in a busy kitchen environment. The dishes are varied in content and alter on a regular basis. Students will also be involved in designing and preparing for a variety of menus. Assessment takes place via written course work and written, unitised test papers. There is also regular practical observations in the kitchen.

Fees for this course are: £3345.00
If you have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and are under the age of 19 on the 31st August, you will not usually need to pay any course fees.
If you are aged 19 or over on the day your main course starts you may be able to take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for this course.
City & Guilds Group Bursaries
City & Guilds Group Bursaries are available to learners starting or completing a City & Guilds or ILM qualification, starting courses on or after 1st September 2017.
To qualify learners need to be able to
- Demonstrate genuine financial need that would otherwise prevent them from completing their chosen qualification
- Be over 19 years old
- Be a UK resident.
Bursaries range from £200 to £10,000 and can cover any costs that arise as a result of the learner undertaking a City & Guilds or ILM qualification.
