Children In Need Fundraising Effort

The staff and students were busy last Friday getting into the Pudsey Bear spirit and raising loads of cash for Children In Need 2010.

The Childcare department raised a massive £386 by holding a balloon race, raffle, name the teddy bear and guess the amount of sweets in the jar. Health and Social Care students collected £176.98 and Foundation Studies raised £80.

The Uniformed Public Services students organise a set of stock and raised money by selling cream cakes and buckets of water for students to throw at their lecturers.

Over at the Houghall Campus a group of Animal Care student raised £118.36 by taking over as a lecturer for a session and taking a group of dogs around the college as a cute factor in assisting in the fund raising! The Land Based Foundation Department raised over £100 by car washing, soaking people and a puppet show.

The College raised almost £1,000 and we would like to thank everyone who took part and contributed to the fundraising activities.
