College Care Course Success Rates Ranked Best In The North East

Success rates on care related courses at East Durham College have ranked top amongst college’s around the north east region.

The latest set of data shows that 97% of 19+ students successfully pass their courses in the care curriculum area, which includes childcare, adult care and healthcare, at East Durham College, ranking the college first out of the 10 colleges, north of Teesside.

Curriculum manager for care courses at East Durham College, Chris English, has praised the hard work of the care team in securing this great achievement.

Chris said: “This is a really proud moment for the care team here at the college.

“They are a fantastic group and really dedicated to making sure every student that joins us on achieve to their highest potential, to secure brilliant results come the end of their course and to set them on the next step towards their chosen profession.

“We now look forward to continuing this hard work into the new academic year.”

East Durham College principal, Suzanne Duncan added: “I am extremely proud of all the staff members involved in this achievement.”

“This result is a great boost to this subject area right at the start of the academic year and I am sure they will continue with their fantastic work with our new cohort of students.”
