Come and find out more about a foundation degree in education and care.

We would like to invite you to attend an informal open evening to find out more about this exciting qualification on Wednesday 14th June 2017.

This Foundation Degree provides a professional development opportunity for those working with young people in nurseries, primary schools, youth centres or similar settings.

The course mixes academic rigour with practical skills that you can apply directly to your workplace.

Modules include ‘The Social Context of Childhood’, ‘Professional Practice in Safeguarding of Children and Young People’ and ‘Social Policy and Children's Well-Being’.

As it’s part-time, the course is the perfect way to help progress in your career; helping you acquire the industry knowledge and skills that will enable you to fulfil your potential within the children and young persons’ sector.

The two-year course is delivered in partnership with the University of Sunderland and could open up a diverse range of career opportunities within the field.

The drop-in event is open to anyone who is already working with children or young people (aged 0-16) and holds a relevant level 3 qualification. Entry requirement: 160 UCAS points, you must have a A*to C grade at English GCSE or equivalent.
