Houghall Campus Year 11 Open Evening Wednesday 14th October 2015
East Durham College’s Houghall campus is getting set to host its annual October open evening this Wednesday.
The open evening at the Durham City based campus is a great opportunity for Year 11 students, looking to start on courses from next September, to come along and find out more about the land based courses we have on offer.
The Houghall campus offers a wide variety of courses including Horticulture, Animal Care, Arboriculture, Agriculture, Equine, Environmental Conservation and Floristry, and key members of staff will be there to give you advice and guidance on specific course areas.
The campus is also currently undergoing a £12 million development, with major redevelopment to the main building, a new animal care centre, new equine facilities and new agriculture facilities all being built, which are set to be complete by September 2016.
The event is also open to any other members of the public that are interested in finding out more about courses and training opportunities at the College.
East Durham College principal Suzanne Duncan said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the regions’ Year 11 students to come along and find out about all the great land based courses our Houghall Campus has to offer.
“This is an exciting time for students to sign up for courses at the Houghall campus with the redevelopment taking place, the September 2016 intake will be the first set of students to use our amazing brand new facilities.
So come along and have a chat with our highly qualified and experienced staff and find out why we were rated GOOD across the board by Ofsted.
