C&G Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles
Motor vehicle service and repair industry (motor mechanic/ diagnostic technician).
The Level 3 is a Technical Level Qualification for students wishing to specialise in the automotive sector as a motor vehicle diagnostic technician. Learners studying this qualification will receive specialist knowledge and skills, enabling them to go into employment or an advanced apprenticeship in vehicle maintenance and repair or progression to a higher education course. It will be taught by an Audi master technician and an experienced motor sport technician with more than 45 combined years of experience. The program will consist of all aspects of diagnostic and rectification of vehicle systems.
Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Maintanence and Repair.
• Diagnosis and rectification of vehicle mechanical and electrical faults on all vehicle systems.
• Routine vehicle maintenance
• Removal and replacement of vehicle units
• Hybrid systems
• Air condition
• Satellite navigation and ICE
Online multiple choice tests and practical assessments in the vehicle workshop.
1 Year, Full Time.
50% of the program delivered in a classroom enviroment. 50% in the workshop. Students will be required to carry out independent learning using IT resources made available to them.

Fees for this course are: £5421.00
If you have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and are under the age of 19 on the 31st August, you will not usually need to pay any course fees.
If you are aged 19-23 on the day your main course starts and do not have a level 3 or above qualification you may not have any fees to pay.
If you do have a level 3 or above qualification or you are aged 24 years or over on the day your main course starts you may be able to take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for this course.
City & Guilds Group Bursaries
City & Guilds Group Bursaries are available to learners starting or completing a City & Guilds or ILM qualification, starting courses on or after 1st September 2017.
To qualify learners need to be able to
- Demonstrate genuine financial need that would otherwise prevent them from completing their chosen qualification
- Be over 19 years old
- Be a UK resident.
Bursaries range from £200 to £10,000 and can cover any costs that arise as a result of the learner undertaking a City & Guilds or ILM qualification.
