Outdoor Education

The Outdoor Education department at East Durham College offers an exciting programme of study and training.

The department is committed to preparing students for a variety of different careers in the outdoor industry through a combination of practical, theoretical and work based learning. 

Students will participate in a range of activities including rock climbing (indoor and outdoor), kayaking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking and navigation. The department has a wide range of equipment for student use, and the department staff are able to offer an extensive level of knowledge and expertise.
