Preparation for the workplace is an important component of our courses too, so work-related activities and work experience placements play a vital route in your education.
Students achieving a full level 3 programme have the opportunity to apply for university entrance to study on a massive range of higher education courses as well as the foundation degree run at the College in partnership with the University of Sunderland.
Our performing arts courses are based at the Peterlee Campus which boasts state-of-the-art facilities including a 220-seat professional theatre, dance studio, TV studio and media editing suite, four music practice rooms furnished with PA systems, drum-kit and amplifiers and a Protools HD recording studio. This is all designed to make your teaching environment as realistic as possible in preparation for a career in the performing arts industry.
Students will be involved in a wide range of performances throughout the academic year ranging from a Christmas pantomime to a music festival in Holland.
Staff are highly qualified and industry experienced. This ensures that they bring first-hand, up-to-date knowledge to their teaching and can pass on invaluable advice and support to their students.
