East Durham College Floristry student Rebecca Morgan

Places Still Available On Introductory Floristry Course

East Durham College still has a limited number of places available on its part-time floristry course at its Houghall Campus in Durham.

The Introductory NCFE Level 1 in Floristry course runs for three hours a week over 26 weeks, either at 6pm-9pm on Thursday evenings or 9.30am-12.30pm on a Friday.

During the course you can learn how to put together floral arrangements, gifts, hand-tied design, floral art and design, and seasonal arrangements.

Once completed you will leave the course with the level 1 qualification and you will be able to progress on to the level 2 diploma in floristry at the Houghall Campus if you wish.

Floristry lecturer Sue Lee said: “This is a fantastic course to join to introduce you to some easy floristry skills.

“Once completed you will come away with a host of brilliant skills that will allow you to create your own great displays to a professional standard.”
