Robyn, a former sea cadet, who is currently studying an animal management course at the college’s Houghall campus, applied for the opportunity to take part through the college’s Students’ Union, who also helped her raised the £500 needed to take part.

Robyn thanked the Student unions’ for their work in helping to give her this opportunity and praised it as a fantastic experience.

Robyn said: “I saw this opportunity advertised by the college’s Students’ Union, and with being a former sea cadet, I was really interested in taking part.

“Thanks to the team in the students union they have been a great help through the application and fundraising process for the event.

“This was a fantastic experience and I really enjoyed being part of this great team travelling to Antwerp.”
