Students to Perform Panto Classic

A group of performing arts students from East Durham College are to put on a classic Panto next week. They will perform the classic rags to riches story, Cinderella.

The students were meant to put on the production in December but it had to be cancelled due to the snow and the College closure.

The group of 20 students have been working really hard on final rehearsals before the five performances. Billy Nicholson, Head of Performing Arts, said: “The team did Aladdin last year and the audience feedback was tremendous. Everyone was really impressed by how professional the production was. I’m sure this year’s will be even better.”

The Panto will be held in College’s Lubetkin Theatre at their Peterlee Campus on Willerby Grove.

There will be performances on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Friday 28th January at 7.00pm, doors open at 6.30pm. There will also be two matinee performances on Thursday and Friday at 12.30pm.

This is a traditional family pantomime suitable for all ages. Tickets cost £6 for adult and £4 for kids and concessions. To book your tickets please call the box office on 0191 518 2000 or just turn up on the day.
