Students Set To Put On Bond Theme Night For Local Hospice
The secret is out as East Durham College’s creative industries team are set to hold a James Bond experience evening on Thursday 21st April.
The team are putting together the night of entertainment to help raise money for Hartlepool Hospice.
The formal evening will see the Peterlee campus’s Lubetkin Theatre taken over by a Casino Royale inspired theme, with gaming tables, entertainment from the creative industries department and food by the hospitality and catering students at the college’s Scene1 Restaurant.
In the lead up to the event; a group of music students are also planning to visit the hospice to entertain residents.
Lecturer in creative industries at East Durham College, Billy Nicholson, can’t wait to see the teams exciting ideas come together for what is sure to be a great night in April.
Billy said: “The students wanted to put on an evening event as part of their course to help raise some money for the local community.
“When they researched into the work done by Hartlepool Hospice they knew that’s who they wanted to help.
“The ideas for the night so far have been brilliant and I can’t wait to see it all come together and hopefully we can raise a good sum of money to help towards the hard work the hospice does.”
Janice Forbes, community fundraiser at Hartlepool Hospice, added: “This will be a great night and I would urge James Bond fans to get tickets.
“Thanks to everyone involved in organising the night, we wish you every success and all the money raised will go to supporting our patients.”
Tickets for the evening are priced at £10 and are available to purchase from East Durham College’s Peterlee campus, or you can book over the phone by calling 0191 518 8222.
