Technical Academy To Host Student Open Day - Sat 12th March 2016
East Durham College’s Technical Academy, which specialises in engineering and a range of construction-related training courses, will be hosting an open day for perspective students on Saturday 12th March between 10am until 2pm.
If you are a potential student or their parent, looking at vocational or apprenticeship options in the engineering or construction trades for September 2016, this open day is an ideal opportunity to meet teaching staff and look round the fantastic facilities.
The Academy, based on Peterlee’s South West Industrial Estate, is home to the college’s provision of engineering, electrical, plumbing & gas, motor vehicle maintenance, tiling and welding.
On the day, staff members from all areas will be available to talk you through the course options and you will have the opportunity to look round.
Support staff from the college will also be on hand to talk you through careers advice and guidance as well as financial, travel and learning support available at the college.
Rob Hutchinson, Centre Manager and Stakeholder Engagement at the Academy, is looking forward to the event and can’t wait to meet some of the potential new students.
Rob said: “This is sure to be a great day and we can’t wait to welcome potential new students to The Technical Academy.
“We have a fantastic facility here and it will be a great opportunity for people to come and view the site and see what we have to offer.
“Staff will be available to talk you through all the great opportunities we have to offer in our many different course areas, along with information on apprenticeships.”
