East Durham College has a dedicated Workforce Development Team and Apprenticeship Department to service the needs of local employers. The Workforce Development Team offers distance learning and direct delivery programmes with support available from over 35 individual tutors and assessors who can come to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Learning can take place in the workplace, at local learning centres, libraries or in the College – wherever is best for you. The Apprenticeship Team provide a progressive approach to your staffing needs, helping you to find motivated staff ready to learn and progress with your organisation or train staff members already with you.

In the last year the team has delivered to more than 300 employers and in excess of 4500 employees covering courses including Business Admin, Health and Social Care, Customer Relations and Occupational Health and Safety. Our course provision is so extensive we are sure we will have something to meet your needs.

Retention and achievement on Workforce Development provision is over 90%.
