An Apprenticeship is a great way for individuals to learn (and earn!) and for employers to discover skilled and talented employees. All apprentices at the College are employed from day one of their apprenticeship. In fact, for those students who are not already in employment, the College have a dedicated team who will find employers who are willing and able to take on an apprentice. East Durham College Apprentices stand an excellent chance of completing a full Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship framework and the achievement rate continues to grow; At the end of July 2007 the overall success rate for Apprenticeships was 71% against the National Average of 61%. Best of all, the College’s dedicated Work Based Learning team will guide and support you throughout the whole experience and will be there for you every step of the way.
