Beauty courses at East Durham College have never looked so good! With brand new modern workrooms and a dedicated professional salon, open to the public, students are certain to benefit from being trained in a modern, professional environment.

All of our beauty courses cover a vast range of techniques and theories in order to be relevant to the needs of the modern beauty industry. Students can also benefit from a wide variety of additional learning goals, including diplomas in ear piercing and nail art, as well as an extensive programme of enrichment events, activities and competitions. Currently, this has enabled students to train in areas such as costume, prosthetics and creative make-up, with the College holding an impressive success record at both regional and national competitions. Not only does this open up new talents, but it also serves to enhance employability after studying.

 For students not following an apprenticeship route, opportunities are given to attend one day a week work placement leading in some cases to employment.
