NPTC Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Manually Fed Wood Chipper Operations
This course is designed for any person employed in arboriculture, forestry, horticulture, landscaping and grounds maintenance who is or will be required to operate wood chippers.
The course aims to provide delegates with the knowledge to understand the principles of best practice in operating wood chippers and to prepare them to take their assessment.
There are no formal entry requirements.
This half day practical course will cover the following;
Health And Safety
Operation and Maintenance
Basic Pruning Techniques
The course is assessed by a external practical assessment from NPTC the day after training.
A half day practical course with a practical assessment the following day.
Houghall Campus, Durham
The course runs at various times throughout the year subject to demand.
