Ardene Selected For March Animal Care Award

Veterinary Care student Ardene Patterson has received the Animal Care student of the Month award for March.

Ardene, 42, from Chester-Le-Street picked up the award at a ceremony on Monday evening held at the College’s Scene1 restaurant.

Animal Care lecturer Suey Turner praised Ardene for her hard work both on her course at the College and also when out on placements.

Suey said: “Ardene’s work has been fantastic throughout her time on the course, she is currently working at a distinction level.

“Feedback we have received from Ardene’s have also been great. Employers give Ardene constant praise for her approach to clients, staff and animals.

“Ardene’s commitment to her career change is evident on a day to day basis. She is always looking to expand her knowledge and for ways to further improve her practical skills and abilities.”
