Please make sure the College has your up to date address details.
Certificates are posted out to your home address via Royal Mail Signed For delivery. If no one is available to sign for the certificate a card will be left by Royal Mail detailing if it has been returned to the depot for redelivery, collection, or given to a neighbour.
If you do not collect your certificate from the depot it will be returned to the College. In this instance please allow at least 2 weeks before contacting the Exams Office to collect your certificate in person. Uncollected certificates will be destroyed after twelve months.
A Level and GCSE
A Level and GCSE certificates are released by the awarding organisations in November. We endeavour to process and post these out as soon as possible after this date.
Certificates for on-demand and vocational qualifications come into the Exams Office all year round. We endeavour to process and post out certificates as soon as possible.
East Durham College cannot order replacement certificates if you have misplaced your original certificates. To order replacements please contact the awarding organisation directly. There is usually a charge for this service. If you do not remember the awarding organisation or your registration number, please contact the Exams Office and we may be able to help you with this information.
If you have received a certificate and your personal details (name, date of birth) are incorrect, or you believe the grade is wrong, please contact the Exams Office as soon as possible. You will have to return the original certificate to be securely destroyed before any amended certificates can be issued.
