College Gearing Up For Annual Spring Fayre

East Durham College’s Houghall Campus is gearing up once again to host its annual spring show.
The 2015 Houghall Spring Show is set to take place on Sunday 17th May with a whole host of fun family activities planned.
The day will include equine displays, dog agility and grooming demos, falconry and bird of prey displays, floristry demos, sheep shearing demos, a climbing wall, Punch & Judy shows, archery, trampolines and facepainting.
Durham Constabulary will also be bringing their Dogwise event to the show, giving tips out to dog owners and also showing off some police dog demonstrations.
There will also be the return of the Houghall Classic Car Show which is expecting to attract over 100 cars including MGs, Jaguars, Minis and Lotus.
Potential students will also be able to come along and learn more about our specialist full time and part time courses at the Houghall Campus, as well as Apprenticeships.
East Durham College events manager Dianne Howe said: “The Houghall Spring Show is one of our main events of the year and it just continues to grow every year.
“There will be loads to see and do on the day and it’s a great opportunities to see what all of our areas do at the Houghall campus.
“The show is a great family day out and it always seems to bring fantastic weather with it to, fingers crossed that tradition continues this year.”
East Durham College offers a wide range of land based courses in; Agriculture, Animal Care, Arboriculture & Forestry, Environmental Management, Equestrianism, Floristry, Horticulture and Amateur Gardening.
The event will run between 10am and 4pm with an entry cost of £1 per person, with under 2s entering for free. For more details call 0191 375 4700.
