This week East Durham College will be hosting a series of Healthy College Day events. These events will aim to help students live a healthier lifestyle.

Beth Pearson, a student liaison officer at the College, who is organising the initiative, explained: “To get the students thinking about the different aspects of a healthier life style there will be numerous activities and events such as an inflatable bungee run and a number of exhibition stands looking at different topics such as drug and alcohol, young carers, stop smoking and sexually transmitted diseases.

The first event will take place between 11-1 at the College’s Willerby Grove site in Peterlee on Wednesday 24 October and the second will be between 11:30 and 1:30 at East Durham’s Houghall campus on Thursday 25.
