A local college plans to get involved again with the annual Anti-Bullying Week campaign, which starts on Monday 14th November.

East Durham College, with sites in Peterlee and Durham, will be running a number of activities and awareness raising initiatives to promote the anti-bullying message.

Sue Wright, Curriculum Lead – Entitlement, explained: “It's that time of year again when we all come together to show the world that bullying is unacceptable.

“We'll be raising awareness of bullying as an issue and making sure students know we're there to help if they're being bullied in any way.”

This year the College will challenge their students to create posters to advertise the anti-bullying message.

There will be various prizes and the winning poster will be commercially reproduced and displayed around the College.

Since it was first launched by the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) in 2005, Anti-Bullying Week has gone from strength to strength thanks to the enthusiasm and support of children and practitioners across the country.
