East Durham College has proudly unveiled their new full-time courses prospectus 2012/13.
The College has produced a 192 page prospectus detailing all the full-time courses that are on offer at their Peterlee Campus, Houghall Campus and The Technical Academy.
The brochure details courses on offer that start from September 2012, as well as information on the College's fantastic state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
The College has traditionally had the guide ready in October, but as Year 11 pupils are deciding earlier and earlier on what they want to do when they leave school the College took delivery of the print in August.
Thousands of copies of the new prospectus have now been distributed to Year 11 pupils, schools and career centres across the north east.
Joanne Henderson, Vocational Coordinator at Dene Community School in Peterlee, commented: “The prospectus is a fantastic way for students to access information on a wide variety of quality provision. We work closely with the College to help make sure our pupils make the right choice about the course to study and their future.”
Principal & Chief Executive, Stuart Wesselby, added: "Whist the website is of course a vital tool in letting this key age group know about the College and our courses, the prospectus still pays a really important role when we offer students careers advice and guidance.
“We aim to raise aspirations in local young people and we hope the quality of this guide will help us in that ambition. We are all really proud of this new prospectus and feel that it represents the quality on offer at College.”
The cover design was created by Blumilk Design in Newcastle and the text pages were designed by Guisborough based designer Shock the Senses.
Director of Marketing at the College, Alistair Cummins-MacLeod, explained: “We conducted extensive research with our students and local Y10/Y11 pupils to find out what design styles appealed to them. These important findings helped to formulate the brief we gave to the creative agencies.”
