Let our expert tutors and specialists train you in how to create beautiful arts and crafts, or learn new skills with our range of part-time courses!
With EDC's range of craft courses, taught at our Houghall campus in the heart of Durham, you can learn to complete hand embroidery, learn how to use all the mysterious attachments on your sewing machine, create beautiful things with felt and brush up on your knitting. If you're a creative person, these courses (and many more) are all available throughout the year.
More of an outdoorsman or outdoorswoman? Our bushcraft survival experience is right up your street. You can expect an exciting, engaging day where you'll immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and tastes of nature. You'll learn how to respect the forest, tool usage and safety, how to build a shelter and how to make tools, utensils and other crafts. This course is a great opportunity for pair-bonding; you might be a couple or friends seeking to build on your strengths, or you might be a parent and child looking to have some fun together.
