Dog Grooming is a highly popular career choice. With dog popularity always on the rise and plenty of opportunities for work, training as a dog groomer with a dog grooming course at East Durham College can help you to start your own business or work as a professional dog groomer in a grooming parlour.
Taking place at East Durham College's Houghall Campus, based in the heart of Durham, this course focuses on the principles and practises of modern dog grooming techniques, helping students to build a potential career in the dog grooming industry.
Our dog grooming courses are designed to cater entirely for beginners who might want to care for their own dog, or for students who may wish to train as a fully qualified professional dog groomer.
All students must start by completing a Foundation Course in Dog Grooming (College Certificate). The Foundation Course starts by introducing students to dog grooming equipment, health and safety, preparation for grooming and bathing and hygiene trims.
