East Durham College Set to Launch New Indian Cooking Short Courses

Our new Indian Cooking Short Course will teach you everything you need to master the skill and ability to create beautiful Indian dishes. 

East Durham College is introducing several short courses in Catering throughout this academic year.

Our first short course is Indian Cookery (Part Time). This course will start on Wednesday 9th October until Wednesday 13th November, lasting for a duration of five weeks with one three-hour lesson per week. The exact time each three-hour session will take place is every Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.

During this course you will learn all about Indian cuisine and how it’s cooked. You will learn how to create and prepare the base of curry sauces, which is the starting point of many Indian dishes, starters, soups, main courses, side dishes and breads.

This course will be based at our Main Peterlee campus, where all tools, ingredients, equipment and protective clothing will be provided.

You must be 19 or over to enrol on to this course, there are no other entry requirements regarding qualifications etc.

The exact specification for topics you will cover on this course include, base sauces, starters, soups, main courses, side dishes and breads.
