At EDC, we're committed to creating outstanding futures for our students. At our three campuses - the Peterlee Campus, the Technical Academy at Peterlee and Houghall in Durham - you'll find a huge range of courses in everything from A Levels to specific, career-focused vocational courses.
Peterlee Courses
At our Peterlee campus, East Durham College offers a wide selection of A Levels at our sixth form, ED6 - and an even wider choice of vocational training pathways in specific subjects. If you're interested in studying A Levels, we offer many different options including law, chemistry, biology, further maths, PE and many others; if you're more interested in a vocational route, you can study many different options including catering, carpentry, performing arts, music, travel and tourism and many more!
You'll also find our Technical Academy in Peterlee - this 37,000 square foot facility is specially designed as a training environment and professional workspace for those looking to study engineering, electrical, motor vehicle maintenance, welding and gas installation/maintenance.
Houghall (Durham) Courses
Our Houghall Campus, based in the heart of Durham, provides students with the very best in land-based studies. Having recently undergone a multi-million pound redevelopment, Houghall now includes a fantastic equine centre, small animal care unit, new social spaces, upgraded classrooms and all the facilities you'll need for land-based studies. We offer many different courses at Houghall, including full-time and shorter courses in animal care, veterinary nursing, horticulture, floristry and more specific courses too including dog agility, gardening, bee keeping and more.
