Equine Studies Student Award March 2012

East Durham College student Stephanie Buckley recently won the Equine Studies Award at the College’s March Student Awards ceremony.

Stephanie, aged 18 from Durham, is studying on a NPTC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Equine Studies.

Her lecturer Chloe Walker said: "Stephanie's attendance and punctuality is 100%. Completion of written tasks always completed either before or no later than the hand in date and written to an extremely high standard.

"She is an excellent student to have in classroom and practical sessions. Always tries her best and goes above and beyond requirements to complete both in class and practical tasks.

"Steph demonstrates excellent theoretical and practical skills and works using her own initiative at all times. She has an excellent mature attitude at all times, sets a good example to her peers and works well with all members of the group. 

"She completes all her own tasks quietly and efficiently to a very high standard and will always lend a hand to help others. Steph is a very pleasant student who shows a high level of commitment which is demonstrated by the many Distinction grade Steph has achieved.

"A very pleasant student with an excellent attitude in all aspect of her work both theory and practical sessions.  Attaining high grades throughout her course, a pleasure to teach."
