Congratulation to a group of Level 2 Animal Care students who took part in a sponsored dog walk on Sunday 22nd May in aid of the Evolution Challenge Charity fundraising event.

The students left the College’s Peterlee Campus at 9am, walking in driving wind and rain, and covered the 11 miles to the Houghall Campus in 3 & 3/4hrs. The students arrived to a great reception at the Houghall Open Day where the sun was shining! Other fundraising activities by the Animal Care Team included a Chocolate & Strawberry Fondue and a Cake stall as well as a Children's Treasure Hunt. In total over £500 was raised on the day.

Course Leader Ian Hall said: “Many thanks to all the students and staff who took part in the sponsored activities – it was a tremendous effort.”
