Access to HE Student Update - 3 April 2020

If you’re due to complete your Access to HE studies by 31 July this year, you will now receive calculated grades for all remaining assessments with submission dates after 20 March 2020.

Vocational & Technical Qualifications

Ofqual recognise learners on vocational and technical courses urgently need reassurance about how their qualifications will be assessed and awarded in the coming weeks and months. Ofqual are working as quickly as possible to develop an approach which enables learners to get the qualifications they deserve and that they need to progress.

City & Guilds - 30th March 2020

City & Guilds can confirm that the Summer exam series for their Technical Qualifications has now been cancelled in line with government guidance. Learners are to continue with online teaching and formative assessment.

To ensure learners that were planning to take exams, synoptic assignments and other assessments are able to progress C&Gs they are working with Ofqual and other key stakeholders on a proposal for an approach using estimation of assessment grades, these will then be used by City & Guilds to calculate an overall qualification grade for each learner which reflects their performance as fairly as possible.
