Floristry & Floral Design
Our floristry courses prepare you for a range of exciting careers in the floristry industry. All courses offer a clear progression route, enabling you to gain further academic qualifications and ultimately improve your career opportunities.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the current National Lockdown, all courses due to start in February 2021 have had to be postponed. We are aiming to re-arrange these to start as soon as possible.
If you are interested in one of our courses, please submit an application and you will be kept informed when we have a new start date.
Floristry has developed from a craft activity into an exciting, expressive and essential element in interior design, it’s so much more than just arranging flowers. It requires artistic flair and creativity, excellent customer service and communication skills, and good business acumen.
Students will study a range of exciting modules including flower and plant care, hand tied designs, floral arrangements, wedding, funeral and sympathy designs, plus optional units such as balloon art and function/event decoration. Extra enrichment is offered through entering a number of very high profile regional and national floristry competitions.
The workplace is an important component of our floristry courses too, so work-related activities and work experience placements play a vital route in your education.
