East Durham College welcomed hordes of new students to the College by hosting its annual Freshers’ Fair, held at both their Peterlee and Houghall Campuses over the 4th & 5th September.
Students gathered freebies and browsed over a number of exhibitor stalls. Exhibitors included the Police, 4Real County Durham Drug and Alcohol Service, Gideons International, a local author, Horizon Young Adult Carers Service and the College’s counselling service.
The Fair also promoted the different enrichment and volunteering activities available to students whilst studying at the College. They got to find out more about what clubs, activities and services are available for them at the College, including the College’s highly successful sports and dance academies.
The annual Freshers’ Fair welcomes new students to college life. Organiser Beth Pearson, Student Liaison Officer, said: “I am really pleased so many students came along to the Fair. We are delighted with how well both events went and how much support we received from local companies.
“Freshers’ Fair is a great opportunity for our new students to settle into college here at East Durham.”
