With EDC's latest courses, available at our Houghall campus in Durham, it's time to put your creativity to good use!
The new courses are based around craft and hobby-based activities. They will include such things as Willow Weaving - where you'll get to create different types of animals to decorate the garden - to specialist survival bushcraft skills or even such activities as building a drystone wall.
We'll also be launching a range of brand new, animal-based courses for all lovers of our animal friends. These will include a pet advice course designed to help families make the right choice before getting a pet, a course on pet sitting training and we'll of course still be running our range of popular floristry-related courses that we already have a great reputation for.
Tracey Bowman Jones, who heads up the short courses team at Houghall, said:
“We are extremely excited to launch this new and expanded range of short courses.
“The college has a fantastic reputation at running floristry workshops and we are delighted to be expanding into other craft areas.
“I’m sure the willow weaving workshops will prove to be very popular, where you can get creative and make yourself a wonderful, elegant piece of artwork for your garden, pond or home.
“We will run workshops making willow bird feeders, bird tables, obelisks, ducks, chickens and even reindeers which, with some LED lights, would make the perfect Christmas decoration for the garden or hallway.”
Most of the new courses run for a single day and will cost from £20 to £150.
