We offer courses in agriculture at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The agriculture industry has around 150,000 businesses – that’s 6% of all UK businesses – and 660,000 employees. So there are loads of career and apprenticeship opportunities in this sector.

Animal Care

We offer small animal care courses from Level 1 up to the Level 3 Extended Diploma which is equivalent to three A-levels. Whether you want to be an animal behaviourist, RSCPA warden, animal conservationist or farmer we can help you get there. The Level 3 course is also a great route into university or onto a higher apprenticeship.

Arboriculture & Forestry

Put simply arboriculture is the science and art of caring for trees. The skills and knowledge our students gain include tree identification, disease recognition, strength for tree climbing and the safe use of various types of cutting equipment. If you love the idea of working outdoors becoming a tree surgeon (or arborist) could be the ideal option for you.

Our dog grooming courses cater for beginners wanting to care for their own dog, up to those students wanting to train to become a fully qualified professional dog groomer. Demand for these courses is very high and there is often a waiting list.

Our horse care and management courses prepare you for a range of exciting careers in the equine industry. Courses are available from Level 1 to Level 3. Future employment opportunities could be at riding schools, livery yards, competition yards, rescue centres, tack shops, veterinary practices, equine rehabilitation centres and equine-related charities.

Floristry has developed from a craft activity into an exciting, expressive and essential element in interior design, it’s so much more than just arranging flowers. Our courses range from evening classes for complete beginners to our full time Level 3 Diploma. Many of our former students now run their own successful floristry businesses.
