Houghall Come to College Open Evening - Wed 29th January 2020

Wednesday, January 29, 2020

It's never too late for a new year's resolution, so here's one for you - getting college sorted for September by coming to EDC's open event from 5:00 to 6:30PM.

Whether you know what course you want to do - or not! - EDC's Come to College evenings are the best way to learn about our range of courses, have a chat with your potential tutors and see what course is right for you!

If you're totally unsure about what you want to do, these nights are a great way to come along and get an idea of what EDC has to offer. Our careers advice team are the best people to speak to here, and they're on hand to give you all the information you need to pick the right course.

Our Houghall Come to College open evenings cover our vocational, land-based courses taught at our Houghall campus in Durham.

There's no appointments needed for this event - all are welcome.

  • Find out how we give you the employment edge and get expert careers advice and guidance
  • Come along for free, impartial advice and guidance to help you make the right choices.
  • Speak to our dedicated teaching and support staff
  • Tour our outstanding facilities - subject to availability (please note we are unable to tour facilities such as the equine unit and agricultural unit in the darker months. This is for the health and safety of all of our visitors).
  • Find out about financial support, free travel and learning support

Already Applied?

If you have already applied, our Student Services team will write to you to invite you along to this Come to College event and send you a text reminder nearer the time.

It is essential that you attend so that we can guarantee your place and make sure the course is the right one and right level for you. We can also discuss any extra support you may need.

On the evening you will be seen by the course lecturer for an informal interview and will be given specific information about your chosen subject. This is a great chance for you to ask questions about the course and college life in general.

Not Yet Applied?

We highly recommend applying for the course you're interested in before attending our open evening. If you don't, that's not a problem - we'll just ask you to fill in an application form while you're with us on the night.
