Houghall Plant Centre Set To Host Christmas Fayre Weekend
East Durham College’s Houghall Plant Centre is getting set to host its 2015 Traditional Christmas Fayre this weekend.
The event, which will take place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December from 10am till 4pm, will see a number of crafts stalls set up at the plant centre along with a number of activities including free tours of the tropical butterfly house and of course the opportunity to meet Father Christmas himself.
There will be traditional Christmas trees for sale, starting at £25, along with poinsettias, wreaths and hyacinth bowls amongst many other products.
Festive food and drinks will also be available to buy at The Secret Garden Coffee Shop.
Chris Francis, land based curriculum manager at East Durham College, is looking forward to a fun-filled festive weekend.
Chris said: “This is always a fantastic event for our plant centre and the team here at the Houghall campus, and we can’t wait to welcome visitors through the doors to visit our wonderful craft stalls and activities.
“The staff and students have been working hard to put on a great festive weekend and I can’t wait to see it all come together.”
The Houghall Plant Centre is based within the grounds of East Durham College’s Houghall Campus in Durham, free car parking is available at the Oro Italian restaurant, formerly The Pump House.
