Kathleen Urwin Selected for Work Based Learning Student Award

Kathleen Urwin has been selected for a Student Award for the Work Based Learning section at East Durham College.
Kathleen, 18, from Peterlee picked up the award at a ceremony on Monday evening held at the College’s Scene1 restaurant.
Kathleen has been working on placement at Sotech Ltd last year completing her Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Due to her hard work and very high standard Sotech offered to help Kathleen progress on to the Level 3 Apprenticeship at the College.
Work Based Learning lecturer at the College Michelle Hamilton said: “Kathleen is very professional and hardworking.
“She puts 100% into everything she does. Any work that Kathleen is set by her apprenticeship is always produced on time and to a very high standard.
“Kathleen completed her Level 2 Apprenticeship with Sotech last year and has now been given more responsibility and progressed onto the Level 3 Apprenticeship.”
