Land Based Short Courses
Whether it's specialist training to develop your professional skills and enhance your career prospectus, or just as a hobby, East Durham College's Houghall Campus is sure to have a short course to suit.
Our courses range from the practical hobby-based, with the likes of amateur gardening, floral design and horticulture masterclasses, to business-based training aimed specifically at keeping you up-to-date with the knowledge and qualifications your industry sector demands - such as chainsaw maintenance and the safe use of pesticides.
The majority of our land based short courses are listed in the relevant course finder area on the website, please click to have a look in the:
- Animal care courses section
- Arboriculture and forestry courses section
- Dog grooming courses section
- Floristry courses section
- Horticulture courses section
PLUS there are a small number of miscellaneous land based full cost courses below.
Many of our courses require no previous experience or qualifications so are ideal if you'd like to try something new. And who knows, what started out as a new pastime could lead to a new career and change of direction in your life.
