We have a huge, dedicated motor vehicle workshop at the Technical Academy on Peterlee Industrial Estate - it's here where you'll spend a large amount of time doing your practical work, supplemented with theory work in the classroom too.
The workshop includes all of the tools and equipment you'll need during your course. We have a range of different vehicles available for practical work, ensuring you get a varied look at the makeup of different vehicles, and how their engines and construction differ from one another.
Our staff working at the Technical Academy are professional mechanics with years in the motor vehicle industry, ensuring that you learn from the very best during your education.

Motor vehicle engineering is becoming an increasingly popular course area choice with students. The motor vehicle courses available teach students a range of practical skills related to the type of work undertaken in the motor vehicle industry. Areas of study include:
