Movember Campaign 2011

Sun, 01/04/2001 - 01:00

A group of four East Durham College students are running a Movember campaign celebration on Thursday 1st of December at the College’s Peterlee Campus.

The students, who are studying Creative Media Production, have organised the event as part of their course. They have designed their own posters and leaflets to promote the event.

The event will take place in the College atrium and runs from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Throughout the event student bands will be playing live on stage, also students and staff can take part in a ‘live shave’ where students will be shaving off moustaches.

There will also be fake moustaches on sale, with all proceeds being donated to the Movember Foundation.

Movember is a moustache growing charity event held during the month of November each year which raises funds and awareness for men’s health. Funds raised benefit The Prostate Cancer Charity, The Institute of Cancer Research and the Movember Foundation.
