East Durham College has hailed last Saturday’s Open Day & Apprenticeship Event as a fantastic success.
Hundreds of prospective students and their families visited the College during the event held at their Peterlee Campus.
College Marketing & PR Director Alistair Cummins-MacLeod said: “The event was a great shop window for the College, the place looked fantastic and really helped to showcase the activities of the College very successfully.”
There were a number of demonstrations and activities visitors could have a go at; plus live music from a number of the college bands, a hair and beauty fashion parade to showcase ‘school prom’ designs, as well as a chance to meet some of the scaly creatures from Houghall.
“We had a very pleasing turnout and a really healthy number of people applying for apprenticeships, ED6 and a host of our vocational courses.
“I’m sure the marketing for the event not only ensured we had loads of people visit us on the day but also helped raise awareness of the College and the brand right across the region,” added Alistair.
The College is now working hard preparing for the annual Open Day & Spring Fayre at their Houghall Campus, Durham, which will be held on Sunday 27th May, 10am – 4pm. For more details check out the events section of the website.
